Hey all,

I'm working on giving some TLC to the website and expanding it in some ways. Stay tuned for more features and regular blog updates.

Novella 1:

The first novella is coming along extremely well, and I am already sending chapters to Bonnie, my editor. This book introduces three new characters in an unexplored kingdom within Thorns, Feathers & Bones, and it ends by tying directly into the events of Book 2, Blood, Wine & Steel.

These characters are incredible and are already fighting for their place among my favorites. This story is tightly focused, with a pace that moves without feeling like we're rushing. It will serve as a great entry point into TFAB for new readers, and a deeply rewarding adventure for those returning to the world...... especially those with attentive ears and watchful eyes ;)

The reveal trailer is ready to go and will be released this month in May. I have not decided on the exact date yet, but it is awesome.

Blood, Wine & Steel:

Still writing, albeit a bit slower because of the novella, but we are on track. I would even say potentially ahead of schedule for next year’s release. I am not quite ready to share much beyond this, but the cast from Book One returns as the world continues to change, in part due to Reh’gara dropping the veil. I'll share more deets in the future..but it is crazy from the first page.

There is something I am introducing in Book Two that feels foundational to the genre, but is presented in a very new and exciting way that will explode in book 3. I think you are going to love it!

Novella 2: It will pick up directly from Blood, Wine & Steel and lead into Book 3. Novella 4 will do the same for Book 4. The goal with these novellas is to explore existing concepts and stories, or introduce new ones, through a more focused lens with a smaller cast. I am keeping them to two or three points of view at most.

I cannot give much away yet, but the first novella explores concepts from Book One that I wish I had more time to dive into in TFAB...but I didn't want to release a 1200 page book :)

MISC: All of the novella covers are already completed and hanging on my wall as metal posters. So when I start doing interviews, see what you can peek :D

I cannot wait to show you. You're going to geek at all of them.

Four years and three re-writes later, who would have thought my futzing around with an idea in Word, would turn into a published 684 page, 240,000+ (give or take) word novel. Whelp...time to do it again. TFAB 2, is officially in the works... three chapter down... eighty something to go I'm sure.

Connerh & Lena:

I started developing Connerh and Lena further after watching Henry and Anya’s chemistry in Season 1 of The Witcher—a potential I felt, unfortunately, was never fully explored. Naturally, they became my top choices. There was just something about the way they portrayed both longing and weariness toward each other that perfectly encapsulated Connerh and Lena: two souls who should have met under different circumstances... who love each other despite the twisted agony they exist within.

Elarion & Illithor:

Back then, Aaron Pierre wasn’t yet a household name. I had always imagined Chris Judge as Elarion, being a fan since the SG-1 days. But after seeing an interview where he expressed heartfelt reflections on his Kratos portrayal—and was moved to tears—I saw something deeper. That vulnerability behind such strength made me realize he would be the perfect Illithor. Elarion carries pain too, but Illithor is a man shattered by personal failure, tragedy, and shame. Though they are paternal twins, Illithor is very much the older brother. I look at Aaron, and I see Elarion. Kind, stoic but not without emotion...humanity. Old, wise, but with a youthful countenance. This pairing would be phenomenal.

Fear:

I wrote Fear hearing James’s voice as if he were in the room with me. It’s so clear, so perfect—ancient, wise, assured. Just... brilliant.

Madika:

I also wrote her with Zoë in mind. Zoë is Madika. A brilliant actress who can portray both strength and vulnerability with authenticity.

Queen Io(elena):

As a huge fan of Noomi, I always envisioned her when writing Lena’s mother, especially after Angel of Mine. (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7058080/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_cdt_t_12).

Darros:

Always Jared.

Hargatha:

This one’s interesting. I originally pictured someone completely different while writing her. But by the end—after fully understanding who she was—and deciding to give Bridgerton a try, I literally stood and shouted, “Oh my god, it’s Gatty!” after watching Polly’s performance.

Offical Launch of T.F.A.B!

After four years, it's finally done! Everything is set and on track for the July 20th launch of Thorns,Feathers & Bones, including a gorgeous softcover. What a wild ride it has been! Next up will be stores and an audiobook on the major three. Stay tuned.
